St Augustine's Medical Practice
St Augustine's Medical Practice is in Keynsham, Bristol. We have two smaller branch surgeries; Temple House Practice and nearby Saltford Surgery.
We have approximately 19,600 registered patients.
We are part of the Keynsham Primary Care Network (PCN) with West View Surgery. Working together allows us to take on bigger projects that we couldn’t do alone, share good practice, and improve care for patients.
We have a diverse and changing workforce, which consists of doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, first contact physiotherapists, paramedic, pharmacists, health care assistants, and we are passionate about training the next generation of workforce as a teaching practice.
The History of St Augustine's
The practice was founded in 1905 by Dr William Peach Taylor who practiced from No 2 Station Road within the grounds of the ruined Augustinian Abbey. With the building of the Keynsham bypass in the 1960's and the demolition of No 2, the practice moved next door to No 4. After over 50 years there, we are now based in our purpose built modern spacious premises in the Chocolate Qtr.
